FINALITY

Matthew 24 - 36

Jesus said "But of that day and hour no one knows,

not even the angels of heaven, 

but My Father only."

Of course you have the You-tube self appointed prophets who gave the date 31st October 2016 as the end of the world, perhaps they might seriously consider leaving that decision to God.

The 31st October 2016 came and went and if you had decided to gather your family around you and  party your way to the very end the bad news is you are still here as the world continues to teeter on the brink of self destruction at the hands of the lunatic fringe.

God says when, not the politicians, oligarchy or self appointed prophets.  Even now men who challenge the status quo are seen as a threat to THE agenda and disappear or finish up in captivity.   History repeats itself and we never never learn from our mistakes.  We ignore ancient scripture that predicts the sequence of events and the great tribulation BEFORE the coming of the Son of Man.   In Matthew 24 - 7 the accuracy of the prediction is realised.

Jesus said "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.   And there will be famines, pestilences, and earth quakes in various places.

(8) All these are the beginnings of sorrows.   

Meanwhile those who trawl the internet for the first warning of warfare are preparing to scuttle down their rather plush survival shelters.   Perhaps they might read a bible whilst they are down there and repent.    There is much tribulation ahead.

Matthew 10 - 36

Jesus said "and a man's enemies will be those of his own household"  Most christians know the isolation they endure but sadly the day is coming when a man will report members of his own family, handing those who refuse to bow to the Prince of this world (Satan) to the authorities and perhaps the elimination factories.

One can't help wondering whether the system will find a money spinner in even that scenario as we continue to pollute the seas and destroy the rain forests and the resultant drought destroys crops.  

Soylent Green - 1973 a science fiction movie about recycling bodies into Green Biscuits as food supplies simply ran out.   

As the scientists and so called experts continue to mess with the planet genuine christians know   without a shadow of doubt the outcome and they rejoice.  I KNOW MY REDEEMER LIVES 

Matthew 24 - 40-42

Jesus said:

Then two men will be in the field, one will be taken and the other left.

Two women will be grinding at the mill, one will be taken the other left.

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

JUDGEMENT

Life is good, we drink out fill,

store our treasure, live our will.

Perfect body, perfect face,

moving with amazing grace.

Worshipping the winning team,

heroes on the pitch and screen.

Buy me, try me, tempt me, come

to the pleasure house for fun.

Faster turns the carousel

opening the door to hell.

Standing on a dirty street,

cold and wet with aching feet.

"Repent the day draws ever near",

they laugh, he's sick and loudly jeer,

and as they meet his silent stare

suddenly he isn't there.

Weary preacher walks the floor,

glancing through the open door.

Praying for her swift release

from pain and pills, eternal peace.

Man of God he fought the fight

to bring the wayward to the light.

He takes her hand, a final prayer

all that remains a bed and chair.

Heavy eyes and weary feet,

working hard his debts to meet.

Desperation, silent prayer

can you hear me, do you care?

From an open bedroom door,

small feet patter concrete floor.

A little child climbs on his knee,

a gentle kiss and they are free.

The hall was filled with every race,

raucous laughter filled the place.

Corruption, fraud and greed danced there,

lust and envy turned to stare.

On through the night they'd drink and dine,

at tables decked with food and wine.

Hurtling from a clear blue sky,

in the blinking of an eye.

Judge, lawyer, banker, king,

tremble now as angels sing.

Whale and dolphin leap the space

heralding His Holy face.

THE DAY OF MAN NOW UNDONE

as they behold the glorious Son.

Silent spinning sphere of grey,

the shroud that cloaks your swift decay.

Below the mist a dark despair

they whispered in a final prayer.

THE MESSAGE THEY CHOSE NOT TO HEAR,

completed, ends their lives in fear,

THIS JUDGEMENT DAY.

A.W. Tozer in his book "The Knowledge of the Holy" first published in 1976 writes:
