MATTHEW 5 - 44
You have heard that it was said "You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, and do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
that you may be sons of your Father in heaven;
for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good,
and sends rain on the just and the unjust.
NKJV
The Jewish Rabbi of Nazareth - Yeshua - was teaching his followers - just a minute is there something wrong here.
What makes Him so very special is He taught love. Hello did someone get it wrong way back. Did they hear right, was man's agenda involved. Who knows. I follow the teaching of Jesus - Yeshua because if its an eye for an eye - then the whole world will be blind. (quote - Ghandi)
"Of course that doesn't mean I am going to just stand there and let someone take a swipe at one of my children, I would certainly attempt to defend myself and the kids" said Julie to a small crowd of mothers huddled together in the lobby of their local school. Outside the hailstones bounced off the playground.
The discussion ended as a crowd of children eagerly collected their respective parents. "Hi Jemma" said Julie "say goodbye to Timothy, you won't be seeing him here after the half term break" "Why is that" a voice spoke from behind the stampede. "Oh hello Pat" sighed Julie. It always had to be the local gossip sniffing out every conversation and loving it.
"Because they will be teaching the children about sex and homosexuality, same sex parents etc. Sorry not my kids. Ted and I will take care of that, I refuse to let them steal their childhood. "Oh" the intruder challenged "I don't think you can do that"
"Actually I can" replied Julie "and just in case you are misinterpreting my motives, this is not a reflection on the headship of this school, it is a direct refusal to accept interference by the state system. They are not polluting my kids with their ideology"
MATTHEW 18 - 6
JESUS SAID: "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
"Actually I can" replied Julie "and just in case you are misinterpreting my motives, this is not a reflection on the headship of this school, it is a direct refusal to accept interference by the state system. They are not polluting my kids with their ideology"

Julie turned to Tim's mum. "Sandra if Tim wants to see Jemma you are very welcome to come for a coffee, they can crash around together while we "catch up" as it were.
Initially Julie and Ted were somewhat apprehensive about lack of contact with other children but they were not alone in their decision and the social group formed under the watchful eye of volunteer parents was proving very successful. The children played together whilst the adults discussed global issues and injustice to name just a few of the subjects.
"If you really want to know what is going on you need to watch R.T." said Ben "and of course Max Keiser is brilliant. "Yes" replied Julie "but I cannot grasp the internal structure of the banking system and their dodgy deals - but I did get his point "any lesser mortal would be in prison, but the fraudsters at the top get away with it." Not his actual words by the way. I doubt the average Joe will understand how it will affect us all. They are being slowly anaesthetised by drugs and cheap alcohol into an appalling state of apathy. Tim Kirby "Just my Opinion" is another programme on R.T. giving his common sense commentary on the state of the "me, me, me, society. "Depressing isn't it" said Jim very aware the chair of his bank had been discredited "and a Christian" he added.
"You're a Christian Julie" said Freda. "Yes" replied Julie. "and your God is watching all this including the abuse and rape of defenceless children by men and women heading up his church.
"Well" replied Julie "Matthew 23 - 33 probably covers that - serpents, brood of vipers, how can you escape the condemnation of hell? Actually Jesus was speaking to the pharisees, jewish religious leaders and he didn't mince his words, he called them hypocrites. He is right, they teach one thing and do another.
As far as the innocents are concerned they have always been at the mercy of evil and perversion that's why parenting is such an important role, continually watching over them and their activities, eventually we have to let go and just pray the world doesn't get to them. People don't seemed to be interested, a head in the sand mentality, surely our kids are worth fighting for.
Matthew 24 - 38
Jesus said "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark"
Matthew 24 is probably the best example of where we now stand, its the "beginning of sorrows".
It's all happening just as Jesus said it would but a really good bible expositer would help those struggling with the bible. Where the old testament is concerned you have to understand the Jewish mindset. A good example is a Jew will answer a question with another question. And Jesus often spoke in hyperboles.
"Didn't the Jews crucify him" asked Robin. Julie never ceased to be amazed at how little people actually knew about the history of this period. "No" she replied "the religious establishment hierarchy got rid of Him and manipulated the scenario. Many of his followers were fellow Jews.
"So when the Nazis said the Jews were Christ killers they were wrong?" asked Robin. "Absolutely" said Julie "and sadly the ugly face of anti semitism is rising once again. People have to stand against it.
"Look" said Julie "its very simple, Jesus spoke love and peace. He told his followers "You have heard it was said, but I say. I am certain he saw through the agenda of the religious lobby of his day and actually preached against them, they wanted him dead.
Even today's truth speakers, young journalists and that brave young man Snowdon risk their very lives to get the truth out. How many death threats have been made against Snowdon and we call ourselves civilised.
Bob smiled "so what denomination do you call home Julie. A hush fell on the room. Julie replied
"God is my teacher"
"You've missed your vocation" said Robin laughing. Shock and horror registered on Julie's face.
"Oh please, I don't believe women should lead any church, that is not their role, there is plenty of work to be done that is highly valued, but not leadership. I would not want that. Every leader must account to God for His sheep. I am just happy to serve."
"Perhaps I should get to know this Jesus of yours" said Robin "you seem to be handling everything life chucks at you"
"Then open your heart Robin" said Julie "its not a head thing - its a heart thing. Repent of the things your conscience tells you were wrong, what we call sins. Accept His leadership. That is one relationship that will never fail you.
The children crowded into the large sitting room. "Right" said Heather "Are we ready to go. Thanks Julie, you know Jason is such a happy child, the pressure is off and Trevor has worked wonders with his reading and writing. He wants to be a farrier and Lewis is interested in joinery. Fiona has designs on hairdressing. All trades and they will always be able to put bread on the table." she added.
"Right" said Granddad poking his head around the door "who wrote the lyrics "If I were a carpenter and you were a lady" I can still hear the "Four tops" singing it. Great song, early sixties, happy days, lots of laughter and no one ever took themselves too seriously. We just sang along. The butcher, baker, greengrocer and cobbler were all part of the main street and community. Now its a drag around the out of town supermarket and if you can't afford a car you are well stumped.
Remember the vicar at the church in the square Julie?" he questioned "he had a billboard outside and every month he changed the notice".

Sadly Sue died of cancer a few years ago, I really hope she got to meet her Saviour. Heaven knows I gave it my best shot.
"What on earth has happened, we used to have such fun, and we helped one another" said Granddad.
"people worship self and ignore the Word of God" replied Julie. "Right, get the kettle on Dad, time for a cup of tea, wow that session was full on. It never ceases to amaze me how God uses every situation."
That night Julie prayed "Dear God could you please put me in a field with sheep with a sense of humour. I so loved those posters. Thank you very much.
Matthew 18 - 10
Jesus said "take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you
that in heaven their angels always see the face of My father who is in heaven.

Study Note: we are not to despise childlike believers for they are honoured in heaven. Their angels are likely guardian angels of the highest rank. Term little ones is also linked with the "lost" and those led astray.
