QUESTION

Who made the soup and created the strings
he's searching for answers to so many things.
Who listens in on the radio waves,
laptop and ipod - are we now the slaves.

The designer is working the canvas,
theory and fact out of date,
as we try to define the next brush stroke and line,
future world where machines chose your fate.

And the part you will play is yet unseen,
join in the dance and follow your dream.
G.Z.O.U. am I getting through,
"come back" I need an answer from you.

If there were such a thing as time travel, he was born too soon.     A sickly child he was often absent from school due to ill health.  With both parents working hard to survive and a school that didn't appear to notice his absence he would often take the day off and cycle to the local radio telescope, or visit the caves in the surrounding countryside.   Leaving school without a single qualification he became a victim of the local sausage factory (a term used for kids that the state system had left poorly equipped for anything else other than working on the local industrial estate).    As a young boy he told his mates "man will walk on the moon" and they all laughed at him and thought him very strange.   But still he would talk of space travel and other worlds.

Like many of his generation he loved Star Trek, the Twilight Zone, Close Encounters, X-files and yet with all his speculation he couldn't admit a creator.   He preferred to teach himself and had a range of books on many subjects one being "How to teach yourself astronomy."   He studied the stars, listened to the radio and enjoyed science fiction books and films.   The only examination he ever sat was for his Amateur Radio License.   He was always listening in and looking up.   He truly believed the answer was "Out There"

The film Contact had a real impact.  When you experience something you can't explain, how do you prove it to anyone else.   The discussion between the main characters highlighted the theory - Occams Razor - and the explanation that the simplest answer is often correct,  this may have just nudged him in the right direction.

IT IS WRITTEN

Matthew 13 - (10 - 11)
And the disciples came and said to Him, Why do you speak to them in parables?
And he answered and said to them,
Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given
(17)  for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
