PROVERBS 4 - 25 - 27
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand or to the left:
remove thy foot from evil.
When we commit to Yeshua its to our very last breath, there is no retirement age. Any personal agenda that takes our focus off Him and what He requires of us and we face stormy waters. There are consequences when we ignore His call on our lives, the pain is corrective and the Lord finally gets our attention. The dormant flame ignites once again with passion and we focus.
When idols take His place, be it an overwhelming fixation in a relationship, a sports hero or precious possession we fall foul of this worlds values. Sometimes its a place you want to leave behind for a new start in a secluded hideaway or leafy suburb and God says "I planted you here for a season - stay"
One day His purpose will be fulfilled, it could be a very short ministry, but when you are filling God's agenda, it will be a powerful.
Its not a question of heading up a church, the right connections or a degree in religious studies, without divine election and anointing you will be as sterile as the fig tree Yeshua reprimanded.
Matthew 21 - 19
And when He saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon,
but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee hence-forward for ever.
And presently the fig tree withered away.
God chooses who He uses from a simple shepherd boy to a wealthy landowner and those who "DO A JONAH" invariably finish up swallowed up.
